Hi! I'm Nick, and I'm building a website where playing sudoku feels good.
The goal of the project is a game that's fun to play and nice to look at.
When I went looking for sudoku online, I couldn't find anything that really grabbed me. Most sites were buried in ads, had interfaces that looked a decade old and, honestly, just weren't pretty. And the few interesting ones didn't let you switch to another language. That's why I decided to build this site — and that's how you ended up here.
What's with the old port and the island?
To make things more interesting, I came up with a small story. Somewhere out at sea there's a quiet island with an abandoned port. Solved puzzles will help bring it back to life: repair the pier and the boats, reopen the houses and get the lighthouse shining again.
This part is optional — you can just solve sudoku and ignore the story completely. But I think it adds atmosphere and a sense of being somewhere else. And isn't that exactly why we play games in the first place?
By the way, it's not just fun for players. As the author, I absolutely love coming up with these scenes and building an atmosphere that makes me want to open the game myself.
What's next
You can already play, with no limit on the number of games. I'm continuing to improve the gameplay and work on the island restoration story.
